I was born in Montreal but raised in Puebla, a lovely colonial city close to Mexico City. Although, I love Montreal and Puebla, I currently reside in Toronto another iconic and beautiful city in Canada. My mother tongue is Spanish but I am also fluent in English (with a little bit of an accent when I speak).
About my formal educational background, I hold a Bachelor´s Degree in Psychology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) one of the best universities in Latin America; which is my most recent achievement. Prior to this, I obtained a Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Administration at Centennial College and a Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resources at Humber College.
My studies and work experience have given me noteworthy knowledge and skills, nevertheless, I decided to pursue studies in Psychology because I realized that assisting others in their time of need is rewarding and satisfying. Although, I genuinely care for people and their feelings, I see the importance of having a theoretical and methodical foundation to support others.
Not all knowledge is acquired through formal education, due to my family´s cultural background and personal development, I have been exposed to many experiences that had provided me with a broad general culture. Therefore, I enjoy many things such as music, art, movies, sports, travel, food & drinks, nature, family and business events, friends, dance, cooking, etc.
I think of myself as a flexible, easy-going, thoughtful, caring and calm person and I like to be part of good things in people’s lives. I asked people who know me to describe me with 4 adjectives and the most mentioned ones were: caring, cheerful, social, and empathetic.
What motivated me to offer this service or create this “job” for myself?
It was the idea of doing something meaningful and helpful for others that would provide me with a sense of personal and professional satisfaction. I believe this unique and authentic approach to helping others will provide my clients a rewarding, beneficial, and constructive outcome. As well, my future plans include further education and development in this field.
